The SCM SAP Consultant will be primarily responsible for advising the S4 HANA project team to ensure the
procurement module aligns with Excelerate Energy's Supply Chain Management processes. Acting as a liaison
between business stakeholders and the S4 HANA Project team, this individual will provide expert insights into
procurement, workflows, ensuring the system is tailored to meet user needs and operational requirements.
In addition to advising the project team, the SCM Consultant will oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to
validate the implemented solution functions as designed. The role also includes developing training materials
and step-by-step guides to facilitate seamless adoption by end-users.
This individual will further support the Contracting and Sourcing team in daily activities, as directed by the Vice
President of Supply Chain Management.
Roles & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the SCM SAP S4 HANA Consultant encompass but are not restricted to:
1. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for procurement processes, providing detailed guidance to the S4
HANA project team on the Excelerate SAP S4 HANA design requirements, focusing on best practice.
2. Develop a clear understanding of current SCM processes and procedures.
3. Collaborate with the system integrator solution experts/project team and internal stakeholders to
ensure the procurement module design aligns with business processes.
4. Participate in workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and design reviews to clarify procurement
needs and system capabilities.
5. Analyze current SAP procurement configuration, customizations, integrations and workflows and
translate them into specifications for new system design.
6. Open communication with other functional areas to ensure alignment with overall system design.
7. Recommend process enhancements and automation opportunities to streamline operations within the
SAP S4 HANA system design.
8. Ensure that current integration between SAP and 3rd party systems remains intact and functional
throughout the SAP project, with any changes to SAP functionality being addressed in the design, testing
and subsequent go-live.
9. Develop SCM test plans and scenarios for system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing
(UAT) related to the SAP procurement module.
10. Execute testing activities to validate that the system meets design specifications, operational
requirements, and compliance standards in conjunction with the SAP Project team.

12. Work closely with the Supply Chain functional team, IT and end users to gather feedback and validate
requirements.
13. Act as a liaison between users and project team to ensure effective communication and alignment.
14. Develop training materials and step guides for end-users on the new procurement module features.
15. Maintain thorough documentation of requirements, testing outcomes, and system configurations for
future reference.
16. Provide day-to-day hypercare support to the Supply Chain team as post go-live of S4 HANA project.
Education & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a
related field.
2. 7 years+ extensive experience in supply chain, preferably in Offshore, Oil Service or Marine industry
within a contracting and sourcing function.
3. 7 years+ SAP supply chain experience
4. Experience on multiple successful SAP S4 HANA project implementation projects
Technical Skills
1. Strong MS Office skills with Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word.
2. Proficient in SAP Supply Chain
3. In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, including requisitions, purchase orders, supplier
management, and inventory integration.
4. Strong understanding of SAP S4 HANA procurement functionality and system architecture.
5. Proficiency in translating business requirements into technical specifications.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in system testing and validation.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
